COACHES Q&A'S

How Many Corner Passes Do I Get?

Please refer to the page titled, "Coaches Corner" on the event page and click on the "Coaches Passes" link, for all questions about passes as well as a link to purchase your passes. Keep in mind, we only distribute corner passes at check-ins. We will not sell nor distribute them after check-ins. Plan accordingly.

I Need to Move a Fighter.

Fighters can transfer up until they finish their check in appointment.

Online transfers will be allowed until the final two weeks, then they must be completed at the check-in. The Transfer fee is posted on the event page.

I Have Two Fighters in the Same Bracket.

You are allowed to register multiple fighters in the same bracket.  However, keep in mind we cannot control how fighters are paired in the brackets as it is seeded by random draw.

If they meet up in the Championships, they will be required to compete against each other for the belt, unless one of them forfeits.

I Cannot Check In on Specified Day.

It is mandatory that Trainers check in on Thursday and attend the event meeting on Thursday evening.

If you absolutely cannot arrive until Friday, please specify an assistant coach to act as a proxy to pick up your corner passes and attend the event meeting.  We will not sell or distribute corner passes after weigh ins are closed on Thursday.

I Will Have Two Fighters in the Rings at the Same Time.

Our head table monitors the fighters and which team they are with.  We will make sure you will not be in two different rings at the same time.  If your bout numbers are close together, we will put you back to back in the same ring.

Can I Act as an Official and as a Coach?

No!  We no longer allow coaches to act as officials on the same event.  Officials are dedicated to keep things running smoothly.

Do I have to complete the registration form and reserve a check in time?

Coaches are required to complete the "Coaches Registration Form" as well as reserve a check-in time.  The links are available on the event page.  This helps us to quickly figure out who is still unaccounted for at the end of check-ins and provides correct contact information for during the event.

Do I have to attend the rules meeting?

We ask all head trainers, corners and fighters to attend the TOC Rules Meeting on Thursday evening.  This will take place ringside at 7 pm.

Rules will be covered in addition to scoring information, all changes in rules and additional announcements.

How many rounds are they fighting for eliminations? How many rounds for Championship fights?

ALL elimination bouts will be 3 - 2 minute rounds. with a 1 minute rest period.

Class C and B Champions bouts will also be 3 - 2 minute rounds with a 1 minute rest period.

Class A Championships will be true 5 round fights. Class A Championship bouts will NOT wear head gear or shin guards.  They will be worn for elimination bouts.

Do I need to bring Gloves for my fighters?

No. Combat Corner supplies the tournament gloves, shin guards and elbow pads for the fighters. Your fighters are responsible for Thai Shorts, mouth piece and groin protection.  Groin protection is mandatory for males and optional for females.

Will my fighter wear elbow pads?

All classes have the option of using all 'Eight limbs' and will have padded elbows.
