COACHES Q&A'S

How Many Corner Passes Do I Get?

Please refer to the page titled, "Coaches Check List" and click on the "Coaches Passes" link, for all questions about passes as well as a link to purchase your passes.

I Need to Move a Fighter.

Fighters can transfer up until they finish their check in appointment.

Online transfers will be allowed until Sunday, October 14th.  After the 14th, they will need to be completed at the check in appointment on Friday.

I Have Two Fighters in the Same Bracket.

You are allowed to register multiple fighters in the same bracket.  However, keep in mind we cannot control how fighters are paired in the brackets as it is seeded by random draw.

If they meet up in the Championships, they will be required to compete against each other for the belt, unless one of them forfeits.

I Cannot Check In on Thursday.

It is mandatory that Trainers check in on Thursday and attend the event meeting on Thursday evening.

If you absolutely cannot arrive until Friday, please specify an assistant coach to act as a proxy to pick up your corner passes and attend the event meeting.  We will not be selling corner passes after weigh ins are closed.

I Will Have Two Fighters in the Rings at the Same Time.

Our head table monitors the fighters and which team they are with.  We will make sure you will not be in two different rings at the same time.  If your bout numbers are close together, we will put you back to back in the same ring.

Can I Act as an Official and as a Coach?

We prefer to not have coaches also acting as officials unless it is absolutely necessary due to low numbers of officials.

Do I have to attend the rules meeting?

We ask all head trainers, corners and fighters to attend the Rules Meeting on Thursday evening.  This will take place ringside at 7 pm.

Rules will be covered in addition to scoring information and additional announcements.

How many rounds are they fighting for eliminations? How many rounds for Championship fights?

ALL elimination bouts will be 3 - 2 minute rounds. with a 1 minute rest period.

Class C and B Champions bouts will also be 3 - 2 minute rounds with a 1 minute rest period.  Class A Championships will be true 5 round fights.

Do I need to bring Gloves for my fighters?

No. Revgear is the exclusive sponsor and is supplying gloves, shin guards and elbow pads for the fighters. Your fighters are responsible for mouth piece and groin protection.  Groin protection is mandatory for males and optional for females.

Do I have to reserve a check in time?

We are requesting trainers reserve a check in time to avoid the long, frustrating line.  You may not schedule a check in time however those with appointments will receive priority attention at their appointed times.

Will my fighter wear elbow pads?

All classes have the option of using all 'Eight limbs' and will have padded elbows.

Do I have to be a USMF Member?

No. Neither Fighters or Coaches are required to have a USMF membership.
